here is no doubt that once
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is
involved in the management of a
property that they will elevate the
enjoyment factor to new heights.
In the Caribbean they lend their name and
expertise to a superb selection of properties
including perennial favourites to UK
travellers with Jumby Bay in Antigua and
Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands.
Both these iconic resorts have a long
standing history. Incredibly, Little Dix Bay
dates back to the early 1960’s and was the
brainchild of Laurence Rockefeller, who had
the foresight to develop a resort in an
important yachting anchorage.
Jumby Bay was developed later in 1983 as a
private island resort, where formerly it had
been used variously as a home for
emancipated slaves and later as a sheep
rearing station. The wild sheep seen
roaming on Jumby Bay today are
descendants of those sheep.
