The attractions are just as diverse, from swimming
with stingrays in open water to visiting the priceless
collection of cars at the Cayman Motor Museum.
Most importantly, the acclaimed marine life is free
for all to enjoy, with world-renowned snorkelling
and diving right offshore, and endless watersports.
The boat can be pushed out with a trip in the
Atlantis Submarine, but for nature at its most
beautiful it is hard to beat the tranquil 65 acre
Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park in Grand Cayman’s
lush interior, roamed by the giant Grand Cayman
Blue iguana.
The real magic of the Cayman Islands is that there
are three of them, and for those wishing to escape
to a true paradise lost, a 40 minute, £80 return flight
is all it takes to get to rugged Cayman Brac, or her
idyllic little sister, Little Cayman, which at 10 miles
by one is the ultimate Robinson Crusoe discovery
and one of the last truly wild islands left in the
Caribbean.
